Poetry: Alice And Eve, by Anonymous
they say kisses are something heavenly --
but from the moment that my lips touched the smoothness of your cheek --
i have never felt more rooted to this earth, more grounded, more sure of who I am.
and we sit under the distant stars blanketed in daylight,
our bare feet dig into the warm soil, piny branches pressing against our backs.
my sunburned hand trembles in yours as the hot air swells around us...
this moment feels more terrestrial and tangible than any uncertain, distant flicker of something celestial.
and as we join the throngs of countless Alices and Eves before us,
i am reassured again and again that this is the way I was meant to love.
